Upper Story by Charlie Palmer is an event venue catering to weddings in New York, NY. Located in the renowned Decoration and Design building in midtown, this space offers a convenient location for city-goers. Owned and overseen by celebrated chef Charlie Palmer, couples can enjoy delectable cuisine while enjoying the stunning views from the 1,000 square feet balcony. An expert in food and hospitality, Chef Palmer is also adroit at recognizing talent. At the helm of this team are Executive Chef Fernando Marulanda and Nicole Worflar, both boasting 20 years of experience in their respective fields. Chef Fernando, a New York native, has worked with acclaimed chefs such as Thomas Keller at New York hotspots Per Se and Bouchon Bakery. Catering Sales Manager Nicole previously worked in three Michelin-starred restaurants, as well as an award-winning wedding planning company. She now fuses her knowledge of the wedding industry with her background in upscale dining, offering couples a flawless experience. This venue boasts large windows, flooding the room with light during the day, and with glittering lights from neighboring skyscrapers at night. Offering a contemporary feel, the interior decor is pared back and modern, providing a blank landscape for couple鈥檚 to make their mark. Couples and their guests will have sole use of the event space. Depending on the guestlist, the room can be split into two separate spaces to create an intimate and cozy feel. The property can accommodate up to 300 guests for a cocktail-style reception, or up to 150 for a seated meal. Whether couples are looking for a wedding brunch, an afternoon lunch, or evening dinner, this venue will be able to provide an enticing menu of exquisite cuisine. With a choice of plated meals, buffet-style cuisine, stations, and small plate options, the team will work to accommodate the style of any event. Service staff will be on hand to assist guests with everything they may need. The team can also offer the use of audiovisual equipment, should the couple wish to show a photo montage or present recorded messages from their loved ones. They can also provide couples with a list of trusted vendors that they have worked with previously, to help ensure that every aspect of the day will be perfect.
