COVID-19 AND YOUR WEDDING There’s a lot to think about when planning your big day – no matter where your wedding date falls on the calendar. But if it happens to be in the midst of the COVID-19 crisis, you might be wondering what you should do—if anything—to prepare and plan for the potential that your wedding may be affected. 2021-2022 COUPLES – PLANNING YOUR WEDDING DURING THIS UNCERTAIN TIME I have a fantastic network of Vendors and nearly a decade of experience navigating contracts for my couples. I would suggest you move forward with your plans for a wedding next year but under the understanding that there is the potential of needing to reschedule if a vaccine or cure has not been made widely available. With that being said I can help you be sure all of your contracts include verbiage to be able to change the date without any fees and of course I would not charge you anything additional if this is a bridge we need to cross as 2021 unfolds. You should be able to plan with the peace of mind that you have a sound back up plan in place so you can enjoy the experience of planning! 2020 COUPLES – POSTPONEMENTS AND CREATIVE THINKING After investing your complete emotional and financial being into this day, you may now be facing the difficult decision to postpone your wedding. You don’t want to cancel, lose all of those deposits and forfeit the wedding of your dreams but there are other options, ones you may not be considering. JUST BECAUSE YOUR WEDDING IS POSTPONED DOESN’T NECESSARILY MEAN YOUR MARRIAGE NEEDS TO FOLLOW SUIT. Many are choosing to plan a small, intimate celebration in 2020, then have their big party next year. There are lots of options and levels of celebration. We can help you navigate what feels best and how to go about planning it! We have special packages now for these “Mini-Weddings” if you are seeking assistance on this level.
