New Jersey’s Premier Vineyard Wedding Destination
Renault Winery Resort is an elegant vineyard wedding venue located in Egg Harbor City, NJ. One of the oldest continuously operating vineyards in the United States, the property has been crafting fine wines for over 150 years. It has seven gorgeous wedding venues to choose from that can accommodate both ceremonies and receptions. Louis Nicholas Renault first established the vineyard in 1864. Renault grew up in the Champagne region of France, learning the area’s distinctive winemaking techniques before immigrating to the United States in 1855. He managed to procure the French certification to brand his wine as Champagne, making Renault wine the only winery in the US to produce authentic Champagne. France ceased to issue such certifications not long after Renault acquired his. Renault Winery was the third federally registered vineyard in the US. The vineyard continued operating throughout Prohibition with a permit which allowed it to make sacramental and medicinal wines. Renault Wine Tonic became a popular product sold in pharmacies throughout the country. While it continues to produce wine, the vineyards are now home to two restaurants, a hotel, and an 18-hole golf course. Spanning 1400 acres, the resort transports couples and their guests to Europe with its sprawling vineyard and the beautiful Château Renault. Guests staying at the Château can take advantage of the grounds’ neatly groomed golf course when not engaged in wedding celebrations. The resort’s rustic-chic decor blends American and European influences seamlessly, making it diverse in order to accommodate a variety of wedding styles. The vineyard, wine cellar, and Château serve as picturesque settings for wedding photos. Newly renovated, the Château provides a refined, neutral locale for wedding receptions. This wedding destination has indoor event spaces that can accommodate up to 300 guests. For larger events with more than 500 in attendance, a charming outdoor tent can be used as a reception venue. The resort’s wedding package covers both the ceremony and reception, and the onsite wedding coordinator is there to guide couples every step of the way. Celebrate in comfort with a room in the Château for newlyweds, while your guests benefit from a group discount. The wedding party can also enjoy special packages to play golf or take a wine tour. With so many venue options and amenities to choose from, this historic vineyard is sure to create lasting memories for couples and their loved ones.
