Perona Farms is a picturesque country estate venue located in Andover, NJ. The venue features a rustic barn and separate hall, both with their own flair. A family-run business for five generations, the Farms has been hosting personalized weddings for over a century. Emil Perona had a diverse resume, having been employed in areas from hospitality to vaudeville performance. After traveling around the globe, he settled in the northern New Jersey countryside, where he decided to become a dairy farmer. When his finances began to suffer, Emil’s solution was to take in boarders. Those who visited the farm enjoyed the peace of the country, and its popularity soon grew. Emil expanded the facilities, adding more sleeping quarters and a restaurant. World-renowned boxers appreciated Emil’s gymnasium, with the famous Joe DiMaggio even paying a visit. Perona Farms established its reputation as the premier New Jersey country estate, and each new generation of the family has taken over the farm to continue the legacy. Today, it is run by fourth- and fifth-generation family members. The sprawling estate features many attractive outdoor spaces, including gardens, lawns, patios, and even an orchard. Ceremonies and cocktail hours are often held in the pristine outdoor areas, where couples and their guests can savor the crisp country air. Firework displays on the property can be arranged for an extra touch of magic. You may choose to hold your wedding in the rustic-chic barn, built in the 1930s and now equipped with modern amenities. Barn receptions take place on the second floor, which has an open floor plan and high, arched ceilings. The estate’s second venue, the Reserve, resembles a Spanish-inspired hacienda. It boasts patios for outdoor events and a large reception hall complete with lighting features to personalize the ambiance. Several private suites dot the estate for use by the wedding party and the engaged couple’s nearest and dearest. Perona Farms’ venues can accommodate weddings with anywhere from 30 to 300 guests. With a century of experience in catering to a wide spectrum of weddings, they are happy to work with couples to find the right venue. Their family actively participates in the wedding planning process to ensure couples’ matrimonial dreams come true. The venue also has a catering service with a history nearly as long as the farm’s. There is an on-site greenhouse that gives its chefs access to the freshest ingredients, which are then transformed into dynamic seasonal menus.
