Opulent Oceanfront Occasions
Set at the edge of Long Island’s South Fork, Gurney’s Montauk Resort & Seawater Spa is a resort venue in Montauk, NY. The resort is part of the Hamptons, the affluent communities on the southern shores of Long Island. Couples who hold their weddings here are assured luxury and style throughout the event. Gurney’s has been welcoming guests for almost a century. Maude Gurney founded the business in 1926 as a humble inn. By the 1950s, it had developed into a small summer hotel of only 20 rooms. It enjoyed successful business during those years, but it was under the ownership of Nick Monte that began to resemble the resort it is today. Monte purchased the hotel in 1956 and began expanding the property with the addition of new buildings. By the 1960s, the resort was open year-round to accommodate the growing demand. The addition of the spa in 1979 completed its transformation into a world-class resort. Since 2013, the resort has undergone even more renovations, with new rooms, an indoor seawater pool, and the purchase of the property beside it. Nestled on the edge of the Atlantic, the resort offers unparalleled panoramas of the sea. Couples have access to the resort’s 2,000-foot long beach, where they can enjoy a barefoot stroll in the sand before or after the event. Each of the property’s 146 private rooms and cottages feature sweeping views of the ocean, sure to make an impression on all guests staying here. There are over 25,000 square feet of event space on-site, offering couples several choices for their wedding venue. The multi-level decks are a popular choice for outdoor locations, while indoor spaces offer stunning ocean vistas. Each space is decorated to reflect the beachy feel of the community, with calming blue accents that complement the color of the North Atlantic. Large indoor ceremonies and receptions can be held in the Great Hall, which can accommodate 300 guests. Outside, the decks can also be used for weddings of considerable size, with the Spa Deck’s capacity at 500. Smaller rooms are perfect for rehearsal dinners, cocktail hours, and farewell brunches. The resort has an on-site dressing room for the wedding party, as well as group packages in the renowned Seawater Spa and Hairspace Salon. Catering is provided by the on-site chef, who creates personalized menus for each couple. To ensure the events go off without a hitch, a personal attendant will be on-hand for the wedding day.

Couples will find the farm approximately 14 minutes from Poughkeepsie with many hotels and serviced by Amtrak and Metro north. Only 7 minutes to the university town of New Paltz with many more hotels, motels and BNBs. Taxis, Uber and Lyft. Billiam van Roestenberg is very detail oriented and helps couples throughout the whole process. Specializing in wedding weekend destinations. A wonderful way to spend quality time with friends and family on a deeper level. There are many very nice places that offer 6 or 8 hour celebrations but we love the fact that family and friends on our farm have a unique opportunity to spend several days with each other. Couples can choose many activities on the farm or very close by. Liberty View Farm includes wedding planning services and coordination with outside vendors. Thursday check-in and relax, busy weekend ahead. Everything is ready and all the stuff is on site no need to fret over packing car the night before and waiting for deliveries. If you ordered a special cake-topper… it was sent to the farm already. Friday rehearsal and rehearsal dinner, Saturday wedding and Sunday brunch!
